France Majorité is a work of satire. It is not a real age-verification service, and it is not published by any government body. This legal notice is written in the same spirit as the rest of the site: stating precisely what is done, and what is not. It is the one page here with no jokes in it.

Nature of the site and absence of a real service

France Majorité simulates, for the purposes of demonstration and satirical criticism, a commercial age-verification service for social networks. None of the "services" presented (choosing a plan, creating an account, buying "credentials", making a payment) is actually provided. No payment is ever requested or collected: the journey stops before any checkout page and always ends on the reveal page, which explains the approach.

The "Who we are" page is part of the satire: the company it describes, its founders, its head office, its figures and its awards are entirely fictional, invented for the demonstration. Any resemblance to a real company or person would be coincidental. Truthful information about the publisher of this site is set out in this legal notice, and the approach is explained on the reveal page.

The "Contact" page is written in the same corporate voice and is therefore part of the same fiction. The X account it links to, however, is genuine: it belongs to the author of this site, named below, and it is the only way to reach us. That page carries no form, no input field and no address to leave behind.

No personal data is collected

This site collects, stores and transmits no personal data whatsoever, at any step of the journey. Specifically:

• no form on this site sends a request to a server: the simulated fields (email address, password, credentials, payment details) carry no name attribute and therefore cannot be transmitted, even if the script that displays them were to fail;
• no cookie, no tracker, no audience-measurement tool is ever set in your browser (a single display preference may be stored locally, at your request — see "Cookies and local storage" below);
• no session is opened on the server side: the site remembers nothing between pages;
• no third-party script (advertising, analytics, remote fonts, CDN) is ever loaded — everything that makes up this site is self-hosted.

You can verify each of these claims yourself, without having to take our word for it: open your browser's developer tools "Network" tab (F12) before browsing the site, and see for yourself that no request ever carries the data you typed.

And this will never change: that is our commitment. It is not a temporary state of affairs, nor a courtesy that some future version of the site could quietly withdraw. No personal data will ever be collected here: not tomorrow, not if the site's audience grows, not in any other form, and not for the benefit of any "partner". There will be no ad network, no audience measurement, no newsletter, no account to create. The commitment is not merely a moral one: it is built into the way the site is made — no database, no session, no field that could be submitted — and it remains verifiable by anyone, at any time, exactly as described above. A site that denounces data collection would have no excuse for making itself the exception.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies, neither technical, nor audience-measurement, nor advertising.

Only one piece of information may be written to your browser: if you tick "Don't show this again" on the home-page banner, that choice is remembered in local storage (localStorage, key fm_preorder_hidden). This is not a cookie: unlike a cookie, local storage is never sent to the server — this information does not leave your browser. It contains no personal data (a simple flag), is only written at your explicit request, and serves only to provide the feature you asked for: not showing you that banner again. As such it is strictly necessary for a service you have expressly requested and is therefore exempt from prior consent (Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, implementing the ePrivacy directive). You can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data; the banner will simply reappear, with no other consequence.

No consent banner is therefore needed: there is nothing to consent to.

The original text, visuals and graphic elements of this site belong to its author. Any service names, brands or organisations mentioned by way of example or comparison appear as plain text only, for the purposes of commentary and parody; no third-party logo or visual identity is reproduced.
